The 麻豆传媒 community will welcome a diverse panel of renowned civil rights and social justice activists, journalists, historians and scholars for an examination of Nashville鈥檚 role as an intellectual center of the struggle for racial justice, then and now.
The daylong virtual symposium, 鈥淩acial Justice, Freedom and Activism in Nashville and Beyond: Then and Now,鈥 will be on Friday, March 26, starting at 9 a.m. CT. The event is hosted by the in partnership with the and the听. The symposium is open to the public. Registration is required.

In five distinct sessions, participants will discuss the civil rights movement of the 1960s鈥攊ncluding events in Nashville, such as the lunch counter sit-ins鈥攁nd compare that era to America鈥檚 current struggle for social and racial equality.
